Toxins in your home

September 28th 2009 22:51
Have any of us ever and I mean ever thought of how the materials you buy for your home are processed? Do you ever think of the material on your bed or sofa - toxic? I know I have never thought of it until I read this article, “Toxic Sofas”. This article brings to life some really great points in our sofas, particularly. Some of the processing of the materials causes; severe burns, rashes, disorders of the brain and respiratory system, as well as some cancers.

This article brings to life that many of these toxins are from products generally produced overseas where the manufacturing laws are different that in the United States or United Kingdom. This particular article talks about the regulations of Britain. Here is a direct quote, “In order to pass British Standards test BS2543, for example, furniture is tested for fire and general safety, along with 12 other tests, including tests to determine where the material has been sourced from

22k Astley Clarke Vermeli necklace

September 25th 2009 22:39
What is one of the easiest ways to accessorize? Jewellery! Yes, jewellery. With just a slight change of jewellery, you can take your day look and into an evening just by changing your jewellery. This is helpful because of our long days and the need to relieve stress by going out with the girls (or guys) after work.

However, using the right jewellery is the key to a successful change, Designer Jewellery! I have found that Astley Clarke has that right piece to accessorize every outfit you own at wonderful prices you can afford. Astley Clarke of London house some of my favorite jewellery designers right at my finger tips as I browse the site. Designers like Yummi Glass, Carolina Bucci, La Diosa and many, many more. The collections are fabulous - collections like; Carbelle House, Couture Pearls, Astley Clarke Collection and many, many more

Redecorate with SofaSofa

September 17th 2009 19:52
Redecorating has to be one of the most stressful acts we place on the human mind. I have heard from several sources that one of the last straws brought up during many divorces have been the total act of redecorating (no joke). So, how do you redecorate without getting a divorce? That is a question for the marriage councilors. Why did I bring it up? That I have an answer for... of course the answer would be a glorious site I found on the web - SofaSofa. What? Yes, SofaSofa.

What a wonderful way to start your divorce, oops, I mean your redecorating adventure then by visiting SofaSofa. Right away when you bring up the site, there before your eyes are four gorgeous sofas. As your eyes take in this page you find that on September 20th from 11AM to 4 PM, they will be at SofaSofa London Show for one day only at the Novotel London West Hotel, Hammersmith, London

Evening dresses come alive at Roman

September 17th 2009 19:00
With Fall here trashing the last bit of Summer, my mind wanders to the up and coming formal events. I check my calendar to see many Fall weddings coming up quick, not to mention many Christmas theme parties planned. I wonder if last years evening dresses would do - scratch that - never would it do at all! I can hear it now, what was I thinking? Knowing fashion and that the only reason why we all go to these events are to see what other women are wearing... (Come on, you know I am right.) the worst thing that can happen to any fashionista is showing up with the same dress as other self-proclaimed fashionista.

As I fret and sweat over what to wear, Roman Originals seemed to jump right up on my infamous and endless searches for beautiful (and affordable in these economic times we live), fashionable styles. I sat sipping my coffee “oohing and ahhing” the very tempting evening dresses. I was taken completely by surprise by this site. The site seemed to be a very generic and simple in the look (and dare I say a bit unappealing), then it seemed to hit me why. This company took the chance to allow their wardrobe of styles to do the dazzling. I was intrigued by the styles that could complement all ages. I could easily find simple shifts, velvet dresses, cowl necks, simply beaded, and chiffon in styles that fit not only what I needed my dresses for, but also my meager budget I have had to tie myself to these days (many dresses are on sale, if I may add). The site actually seemed easy to manipulate, there was free delivery after a small spending total, and (easily found) many different ways of securing these dresses with credit cards and paypal. They also have several other items of interest that can be easily found on this site as well.( I especially enjoyed that the company took time to add other pieces that would coordinate with each dress that also was available online

Bed Bath and Beyond

September 17th 2009 11:53
Bed, Bath and Beyond has been a favorite store for me to shop for all my fashion staples for my apartment. Now that college students are either returned to college or have graduated and finally moving into their own diggs - this is a store I would recommend. I love the up-to-date items and having a family - needing to keep the cost of my apartment decorating affordable.

The dinnerware are affordable and very sheek, the bedroom sets are just to die for and I love the items for my office. The new BB&B circular is out and I want to show you my favorites

I believe that fashion can be in the eye of the wearer or beholder. I also believe we need to recyle and renew our old or used items. I know of an article that talks about renewing and recycling old items and turning them into - sofas. What would you think about purchasing a sofa made from Apple Mac computers? How about made from grass?
Then there are other designers that really want to put their all into a sofa that is a work of art. How about a sofa made from diamonds? If you want to read more about these new art deco type of sofas and a writers opinion then jump over to this article - called Weird and Wonderful.
After reading the article, by all means comment on this post. Have you made your own furniture or items from recycling? Let me know what you have done.
